Connect a WhatsApp phone number to your workspace by creating an instance and scanning a QR code in Aysali Manager.
Before you start
- WhatsApp service active in your portal (see WhatsApp overview).
- Phone with WhatsApp installed and active on a stable network.
- Free slot on your plan (check Status tab for instance count vs limit).
Step 1 — Open Aysali Manager
- Go to WhatsApp in the portal.
- Open the Status or Manager tab.
- Click Open Manager.
Aysali Manager opens on your workspace host (same domain as API URL, /manager/ path).
Step 2 — Create or select an instance
In Aysali Manager:
- If no instance exists, create one (name it clearly, for example
mainorsupport). - If you already have instances, select the one you want to connect or reconnect.
Your portal Status tab may also list instances and let you pick one when viewing logs or messages.
Step 3 — Scan the QR code
- In Manager, start Connect / QR code for the instance.
- On your phone, open WhatsApp → Linked devices → Link a device.
- Scan the QR code shown in Manager.
- Wait until connection state shows connected (wording may vary in Manager).
- •
Keep the phone online
The phone must stay connected to the internet while linking.
- •
One number per instance
Each instance maps to one WhatsApp account/number.
- •
Re-scan if disconnected
If WhatsApp logs out the linked device, open Manager and connect again with a fresh QR code.
Connection states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Connecting / QR | Waiting for scan or finishing handshake |
| Connected / Open | Ready to send and receive |
| Disconnected / Close | Session lost — reconnect with QR or restart instance |
Check connection from Manager or use the portal Logs tab if messages fail.
Restart an instance
If messages stall or connection drops repeatedly:
- In Aysali Manager, use Restart for the instance, or
- From the portal Manager tab, use available restart controls if shown.
After restart, you may need to scan QR again if WhatsApp invalidated the session.
Instance limit and add-ons
If you cannot create another instance:
- Check Billing → Add WhatsApp instances to raise your limit, or
- Remove an unused instance in Manager (only if you no longer need that number).
Partners managing customer numbers should use WhatsApp Subscribers.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| QR expires | Refresh QR in Manager and scan again quickly |
| ”Already linked” on phone | Remove old linked device in WhatsApp settings, then re-scan |
| Connected but no messages | Confirm API calls target the correct instance name; check webhooks |
| Manager does not load | Verify API URL in portal; try another browser |
